Summer Activities For Kids

Keeping the kids busy during the next few weeks of Summer can be quite a challenge for parents, especially when you want to avoid too much screen time but still allowing them to not be bored… We know the struggle and that’s why we thought we’d share with you 5 fun summer activities for your little ones:

1. Set up a mosque tent in the garden

Our Mosque Play Tents are perfect to set up in your backyard, do some Islamic story telling or even just to let the kids imagine their own little adventures! They’re really easy to build and such a unique way of keeping the little ones busy as well as protecting them from too much sun exposure!

2. Solve some jigsaws

Is there anything better than a jigsaw puzzle to keep the kids busy for a few hours? Ours are 500 pieces and seeing them come together is truly mind blowing! You can also take this opportunity to educate them on the history and meaning of each holy site, making learning extra fun.

3. Cookie Decorating

Make a batch of cookies using our Islamic Shapes Cookie Cutters and place them on a table along with a variety of decorations e.g. icing, sprinkles, chocolate buttons. Let the kids decorate their own cookies before having them as an afternoon snack!

4. Do some crafts

DIYs are such a great activity to keep the little ones entertained and excited about creating something with their own hands! You can use Pinterest to find some ideas and then use balloons, plates, cups or napkins, just like we did for these little fox folded napkins!

5. Throw a kids party

Why not have your children’s friends and their parents over for the afternoon and organise a little party? You can plan all the aforementioned activities and decorate the party mixing and matching our Moroccan Magic Range for a bright and colourful vibe? If you want to make it extra fun, grab some drums, pinatas and halal sweet jars!
