Family Craft Ideas For Eid

Family Craft Ideas For Eid
It can be tricky to come up with ways to keep younger members of the family entertained and to get them involved in Eid. Encourage them to get creative with our suggestions for crafting activities that are perfect for this special time of the year.
Here are 5 Eid craft ideas for kids to enjoy:
.
1. Prayer Mat Craft
An activity that’s well suited to young children is prayer mat craft. You could cut out a piece of foam, felt or card for the prayer mat base and then let them decorate with whatever they fancy. Perhaps you could help them to cut out some shapes from felt or coloured card for the decoration.

2. Moon and Star Shaped Potato Prints
Potato prints are always a fun way for little ones to get creative, so why not try doing some moon and star shaped potato prints? You could make some simple bunting using card and string for them to decorate with the moon and star shapes – this is a great way for them to get really involved in decorating the house, ready for Eid.

3. Eid Cupcake Toppers
Planning on making some Eid cupcakes? You could get one of our Eid Mubarak Cake Toppers, or you could ask your kids to make cupcake toppers to provide a personal finishing touch to each cake. This is an activity that kids of all ages can take part in, from pre-school right through to teenagers.

5. Paper Plate with Moon and Stars
We love this Eid craft idea for kids from Nurture Store. Cut out moon and star shapes from a paper plate (you can use one of these), stick the plate onto sticky backed plastic and stick coloured tissue paper onto the sticky moon and star shapes. Paint the paper plate and finish with some glitter if you fancy. Hang the paper plate in the window to get a beautiful stained glass effect.
